Onze ambities helder toegelicht
Onze missie: MAASTRO wil samen met de patiënt en zijn of haar naasten de strijd tegen kanker aangaan, mensen genezen en het leed verminderen. Dat doen we in samenwerking met onze partners in de oncologie.
MAASTRO draagt op drie manieren bij aan de kankerbestrijding:
radiotherapie volgens de laatste stand van de wetenschap, in samenspraak met de patiënt en op een zo veilig mogelijke manier;
grensverleggend wetenschappelijk onderzoek, waarvan de resultaten direct worden vertaald in verbetering van de behandeling;
opleiding en onderwijs, gericht op goede hulpverleners nu en in de toekomst.

A close look at our aims
Our mission: MAASTRO aims to work with its patients and their loved ones to fight cancer, cure the sick and alleviate suffering. We do this in close collaboration with our partners in the field of oncology.
MAASTRO contributes to the fight against cancer in three ways:
by administering radiation treatment according to the latest medical knowledge, in consultation with its patients and in the safest way possible;
by conducting pioneering medical research whose results have a direct impact on the effectiveness of treatment;
by offering training and educational programmes to ensure a steady supply of specialists now and in the future.
